He Saw That It Was Good

(Gen 1:31) And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, [it was] very good.
(Gen 1:12) And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.

After the Lord completed His wondrous creation, here we see him at a moment where he sees everything that He has crafted and brought to existence and life. And he sees that it was very good!

Our God is one who rejoices in His creation - Like a master craftsman, he takes pleasure in His handiwork. We see two kinds of pleasure or approval here from God.

1.    God sees all of His creation - Beholds it in His eyes - and sees that it is good indeed. Everything that the lord creates in it's initial form is very Good. We are created in a perfect manner - (even when we have inborn infirmities, we can rejoice in the fact that we are fearfully and wonderfully made).
2.    God sees His creation doing what he designed it to do (For example: In Gen 1:12, we see the earth bringing forth grass, herb giving the seed, tree yielding fruit, etc. And This makes our lord say "It was Good"! Friends, this is the challenge that we face. Are we at a position where we bring joy to our Lord and make him say "It is good" when he beholds us and our fruit that we produce ?

How do we gain God's approval ?
1.    By being fruitful according to his design :
(Gen 1:12) And the earth brought forth grass, [and] herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed [was] in itself, after his kind: and God saw that [it was] good.
2.    By Laying the strong foundation of faith :
Rom 4: 1-3 (GWT) (God's word translation) What can we say that we have discovered about our ancestor Abraham? If Abraham had God’s approval because of something he did, he would have had a reason to brag. But he could not brag to God about it. What does Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and that faith was regarded as the basis of Abraham’s approval by God.
3.    By not struggling for his approval - but living a right & normal life :
(Eccl 9:7) Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
(Eccl 9:8) Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
4.    By the believer's position in Christ Jesus :
(Eph 2:13) But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
5.    By being focused (as in a race) and keeping my body at check :
(1Cor 9:24-7) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they [do it] to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring [it] into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
6.    By demonstrating Obedience to God's will :
(John 4:34) Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
(Matt 3:17) And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

May the lord bless us mightily as we take a decision today to follow Jesus and to gain His approval !

Shalom !

In the Beginning

(Gen 1:1) In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Creation - In the beginning   We love beginnings and tend to cherish the times and seasons where many things began in our lives! The word of God begins rightly with a brief, (over)simplified account of how Creation happened. In those few words of Gen 1:1, the lord establishes that He existed in the beginning, that there was a moment of creation for all of earths and heavens and that He was the creator and his word had the infinite power to create all these from nothing. (john 1:1-3 confirms this was Jesus himself). You don’t need anyone to give you a scale of the earth/ sun/ stars/ milky way/ galaxies etc. This is one of those “Selah” moments where we pause and consider the power of God as displayed through his creation. The most learned scientist cannot claim to understand that point of the past where all that we see was created so simply by our God! There are so many who reject creation and God just becaus
